First Post

Hello Everyone! My name is Tanya. This is my very first blog post with, hopefully, many more to come. I wanted a place where I could brag, vent, share, inspire, and inform others. My posts will mostly be about my beautiful, ambitious family. God has truly blessed me with a great husband, Anthony, and two sweet daughters, Taylor and Shayna. Taylor is 6 and Shayna is almost 3. I will also talk about my future career as a teacher. I am currently going to school online to earn my masters degree in early childhood education. I work as a teacher for Gymboree Play and Music. I have a bachelor's degree in visual communication. I may venture into creating some design tutorials and sharing some of my design work. Some other topics I would like to write about include: motherhood, raising children, Christ, saving money, couponing, cooking/recipes, excersize, health, beauty secrets, art, design, and where ever else the Lords leads me!
I thought about the name of my blog for a while. I wanted it to have meaning, so I chose "Oh! The Places We'll Go!" after the last, and one of my favorite, Dr. Seuss books, "Oh! The Places You'll Go!" I have always been a big Seuss fan and I have shared my love of these books with my girls. This particular book is very inspirational. If you haven't read it, you should! My favorite quote from the book is :

"You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes.

You can steer yourself any direction you choose." - Dr. Seuss

I think this is such a wonderful message, that we are responsible for our own lives. With responsibility, prayer. and God's will, the possibilities are endless. I couldn't think of anything more perfect than that! Did I mention I am a quote-a-holic? Well I am! Here's another:

"If we did all things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves." - Thomas Edison

Some of the best and most comforting quotes come from the bible. Here are a couple of my favorite bible verses:

"Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart." - Psalm 37:4

"In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." -Proverbs 3:6

I want to have a lot of fun with this blog. Although my life is kind of crazy and chaotic with my many responsibilities, I intend to try my very best to write regularly.

God Bless! <><

Tanya
